The quest to learn about the past continues in a new role
After a seven-year long tenure at NOAA’s National Marine Sanctuaries as Director of Maritime Heritage, in Maryland, Jim has taken up a position with SEARCH, Inc., a Florida based multi-disciplinary organization which offers services in Archaeology, Maritime Archaeology, Architectural History, History and Archives and Heritage Design to a variety of government and commercial customers.
In his role as Senior Vice President, Jim will oversee operational and research excellence, implement strategic initiatives, and expand the firm’s international footprint. He will also serve as a public speaker, international delegate, documentary host, and major project spokesperson. A job very well suited to this 40-year history and archaeology veteran who has traveled across the globe and to many fathoms below the water in search of humankind’s connection to the past.
Jim takes up his post as of May 1, 2017.
